Some people work hard trying to make a living and on the process of doing it mostly had neglected their health, and in the latter part of their life they will spend more of their hard-earned money to stay alive with medical bills👨🏻‍⚕️

The amount of money spent on medical bills to these days is tremendous if you’re insured then you’re quite safe to say you can sustain the medical bills, but why would someone want that if it can be avoided in the first place? 🙅🏻‍♂️

The amount of money you spent on healthier foods or gym membership or exercise equipment is far more economical than paying medical bills later in life, not only it gives someone the ability to enjoy life but to be present when their kids grow up 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Imagine how great life is by being able to do things that you want to do than lying in bed with medications trying to stay alive😦

So what do you prefer a life full of activities or a life full of medications?...

If I managed to race in Dubai 70.3 last 2017 why not in my hometown? This was my thought when they announced it will happen in Davao actually in Mindanao for the first time as the registration were open it was sold out on the First day, I was actually on the waiting list but started my Training anyway around October 2017. I was supposed to do Dubai 70.3 last February 2018 but since I did it there last 2017 I prefer to do it in my hometown, also I can’t afford to do both.


I’m training solo most of the time as my time is limited between Work and babysitting 

I don’t follow a specific training plan I just make sure I do the 3 discipline every week I train when I’m having a good sleep and the situation is favorable. 2 Cycling outdoor or indoor, 1 -2 swimming, 2 running outdoor or indoor per week.

I adjusted my weight training in the gym and focus more on lower body and core strengthening workouts, I do light weights load...

If you’re already at the gym lifting weights or joining classes let me congratulate you. You have made a big step in taking care of your health and body.

Going to the gym is quite challenging when you are already exhausted from your workplace, imagine picking up weights and pressing that up and down is not that easy. This is where motivation should kick in to overcome that feeling.

Are you feeling this? One of the hardest parts of this new journey is the first few weeks or months as this could affect your daily routine but once you’ve established the habits, a flat tummy or getting ready for summer is one step away.

To assure that you are going to achieve your fitness goals consistency is the key as one of my mentors says "it doesn't matter if you only workout 2 times a week as long as you do it for the next 20 years"

So how much running cost?

I was running today and I notice how people run with their gadgets, gears, and clothing apparel and I realize it cost them a good amount of cash. So I look into my gears and apparel and decided to check how much it cost especially this winter season where you have to be well covered enough to enjoy running outside.

Lucky for me most of my running gears are freebies or sponsored by my clients and friends.

If you ever wonder how much it will cost you to start running, Here’s my breakdown to get an idea I'll divide it into 2 categories the Essentials and Non-essentials along with their average prices in KWD & USD.

I had this experience in the gym where one of my client's favorite exercises is the biceps curl, and during our training session, he always wanted to finish it with barbell curls or dumbbells. Nothing is wrong with that, except base on what I know the calories burned with that exercise is lesser compared to doing the compound exercise like deadlifts, barbell squats, and bench presses.

I told him that compound lifts give better results since he needs to drop body fats to improve his body composition. He agreed with me of course, after all, He hired me as his trainer.

My philosophy with training is that you have to get stronger to change your body composition so I was never a big fan of biceps curl but it’s one of the most favorite exercises for gym-goers. I am a big believer of compound lifts I always go for a bigger move than an isolated exercise like the biceps curls.

Triathlon is coming again to Kuwait soon.

This means for me to get back on training days. I am happy to know that this sport in Kuwait is growing every year.

Whenever I share my story of completing a sports event like this some people ask me back “so did you win or what’s your place or how much is the price? and I always find myself explaining to them that it has nothing to do with winning the first place at all. I cannot blame them with this kind of mentality as most of us when we were kids we always look forward to winning or the rewards in every game we played.

Well, this is not the case for adults unless you're a professional athlete but for most of us, this is a lifestyle choice. Those people who dare to swim, bike, and run are always a winner. The price they got for training and completing the triathlon is priceless.

The time committed to training as early as 4 am is something that not everyone is willing to do it. Not on...

This is Bader finishing our session with 2 minutes' planking.

What I wanted to share with you today is the conversation I had with him yesterday on how he measures his achievement in fitness training.

Me: Bader so far you've maintained your body composition, you know you can get leaner right?

Bader: Yes I know and as I told you there are things that I cannot do right now like dropping my weekend treat, but I'm feeling great so far.

Me: What is it that you're grateful so far?

Bader: You know I have this pain in my upper back before and I just notice that it's gone now and if I stop working out I will have that pain again. Now, I can move my body better with no pain, I can run, I can lift weights, I can play football on weekends and I can eat normally.
